SAHARA MEDIA, INC,

Honeymag.com
Sahara Media, Inc. purchased Honey Magazine from Vanguarde Media in 2005 after six successful years of phenomenal newsstand growth, with the magazine reaching a readership of 1.5 million. Sahara plans to re-launch the print publication as an online magazine and social network in late 2008. Advertisers that support www.HoneyMag.com, and its social media network arm, www. HiveSpot.com, will support the empowerment of urban females.

At a time when ethnic artists did not have cover opportunities in most celebrity and fashion magazines, celebrities such as Beyonce, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, and others, all appeared on the cover of Honey.

The re-launch of Honey as an online magazine and social network at Honeymag.com is poised to exploit consumer shifts away from traditional print media to digital offerings. Honey aims to be a first-in-class destination site for multicultural urban women, a place where users can visit to talk to friends, find a job or internship, and engage with the latest gossip and other entertainment, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content. The business model integrates these two online components so that site's editorial content will drive traffic to the social network platform, which will in turn capture demographic information and drive targeted online consumer activity. Sahara Media Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiary have completed gross proceeds of $10 million in private placements since June 2008.
